Fishing at Giralia Bay in the Exmouth Gulf
Access to Giralia Bay is only 130km south of Exmouth town centre. By going via the old Giralia Station, there is a well graded 40km dirt road to the Bay. Such access to our coastline is for guests camping at the homestead or the bay. The road is generally kept in good condition, 4DW provides easy access, 2DW usually manages but should be advised by the manager.
"Giralia Bay fishing spots are rarely fished, which makes this place a must any angler. There are quite a few land based fishing spots at Giralia Bay to explore. The shallow flats of Giralia have great sight casting for Trevally, Queenfish, Bream and Whiting. Giralia is a great place to launch a small boat to explore the small creeks, where the fishing is absolutely fantastic. The small creeks hold Mangrove Jacks, lots of big Cod, Threadfin Salmon, Bream, Dusky Flathead and Trevally. Around the western headland is a great place for trolling lures for Spanish Mackerel. The reef area here also holds Bluebone Tuskfish." - Fishingspots.com.au., 2018
